Defending champions Haryana and Odisha bagged the gold medal in men’s and women’s Rugby 7s competition respectively, at the 37th National Games Goa 2023.
With a host of India international players in their ranks, Haryana and Odisha dominated the respective competitions at the beautiful Sports Authority of Goa’s Athletics Stadium at Bambolim.
In the men’s final, Haryana blanked Maharashtra 14-0 while Odisha overcame Bihar’s challenge 12-7 in the women’s title clash. The bronze medal in the men’s event was Odisha’s while in the women’s category, West Bengal clinched the bronze medal.
