Goa clinched a silver medal at the Sub-Junior and Cadets National Judo Championship in Chennai on Sunday. It was Mukesh Tarad who came up with a fine display in the Cadets (under-18) event that helped Goa open its medal account.
The 17-year-old Mukesh competed in the 81kg category where he lost against his opponent from Haryana.
Mukesh is a SAI STC judoka and practicing in Ponda over the last two years. He has been training under SAI STC Coach Sushil Gayakwad, recently.
