Harmal Panchakroshi Higher Secondary School and Institute of Vocational Studies, Harmal-Pernem bagged the first prize at the Quiz Competition on the topic ‘Bhagwan Birsa Munda: Life & Contribution to the Freedom Struggle & Tribal Rights’.
St Andrew HSS, Vaddem,Vasco, emerged the runners-up, while the third place went to St Xavier’s HSS, Mapusa.
Speaker of Goa Legislative Assembly, Ramesh Tawadkar graced the valedictory function and presented the prizes along side Director of Education, Shailesh Zingade, Secretary /CEO of Goa Commission for SC/ST, Dasharath Redkar; Chairperson, Goa Commission for SC/ST, Deepak Karmalkar. Naguesh Sardessai was the Quiz Master.
The Quiz Competition for the students of Std.XI & XII Higher Secondary Schools of Goa, was organised today on the cccasion of World Tribal Day by Goa Commission for SC/ST at Institute Menezes Braganza in Panaji.
Earlier, Labour Commissioner Levinson Martins was the chief guest for the inaugural function. Deepak Karmalkar, Director, Art & Culture, Sagun R. Velip, Director, Sports And Youth Affairs, Arvind Khutkar, Dasharath Redkar, were also present.
