Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant launched the 90-Day Swayampurna Goa – Vocal for Local (SG-VLP) initiative at the Dr. M. S. Swaminathan Conference Hall, ICAR-CCARI campus, Old Goa.
The short-term, coordinated initiative will focus on strengthening the agriculture and allied sectors through local production, value addition, market linkages, and convergence.
The programme is led by the Directorate of Agriculture as the Nodal Department, with ASSOCHAM as the Industry Partner and EY as the Knowledge Partner.
The launch ceremony was graced by Secretary (Agriculture) Nikhil Dessai,IAS, Director, ICAR-CCARI, Dr. Praveen Kumar; Director of Agriculture, Chandrahas Naik Dessai, Principal and Dean, Goa College of Agriculture, Dr. Suresh Kunkalikar; government officials; representatives of ASSOCHAM and EY; FPO representatives; and other stakeholders from the agriculture and allied sectors.
