ASG Eye Hospital, one of India’s leading chains of super speciality eye hospitals, today announced the inauguration of its second hospital in Goa, further strengthening its commitment to making advanced eye care accessible across the state. Founded in 2005, ASG Eye Hospital has emerged as one of the country’s most trusted eye care networks, with over 180 hospitals across 95+ cities, a team of more than 700 eye specialists.
The hospital was inaugurated on 8th June 2026 at the hands of Minister for PWD CoP and Legal Metrology Digambar Kamat; Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas, Velim MLA Cruz Silva and Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai, in the presence of ASG Eye Hospital Founder, Dr Arun Singhvi, Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Vikas Jain, Chief Operating Officer, Dr. Raghav Ravani, senior medical professionals and others.
Established with the vision that high-quality ophthalmic care should be accessible to everyone irrespective of geography, financial circumstances, or awareness of complex eye conditions, ASG Eye Hospital has consistently focused on delivering comprehensive eye care through advanced technology, clinical expertise, and a patient-centric approach.
Over the years, the institution has successfully combined clinical excellence with operational scale, ensuring consistent standards of care across all its centres nationwide.
ASG Eye Hospital began its journey in Goa in 2021 with the launch of its first super speciality eye hospital in Caranzalem. The Goa centre was established with the same mission of bringing worldclass ophthalmic care closer to patients and eliminating the need to travel outside the state for specialised treatment.
The hospital introduced comprehensive eye care services under one roof, including Cataract Surgery, Retina Services, Cornea and Corneal Transplantation, Keratoconus Management, Glaucoma, Oculoplasty, Paediatric Ophthalmology, and Squint Services.
Over the last five years, ASG Eye Hospital Goa has successfully performed over 12,550 cataract surgeries, completed 6,321 retinal procedures, facilitated 26 corneal transplant surgeries, and established a network of six vision centres across Goa, significantly improving access to specialised
eye care for communities across the state.
These milestones reflect ASG’s continued commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and making world-class eye care accessible closer to home.
Building on the trust and support received from patients across Goa over the last five years, ASG Eye Hospital has now expanded into South Goa with the inauguration of its new state-of-the-art super speciality eye hospital in Margao.
The new facility brings the latest advancements in eye care technology for Cataract, Vitreo-Retina, Cornea, Glaucoma, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Oculoplasty and other ophthalmic subspecialties, ensuring patients have access to world-class treatment closer to home.
The centre is supported by a highly experienced team of specialists, many of whom have received advanced training at the renowned Aravind Eye Care System, one of India’s most prestigious tertiary
eye care institutions and training centres. With this expansion, patients who previously travelled outside Goa in search of advanced eye care can now access the same level of expertise, technology,
and treatment at their doorstep.
In line with its mission of making quality eye care accessible to every individual irrespective of socioeconomic status, the hospital has also been empanelled under DDSSY, CGHS, ECHS, and leading private insurance providers, enabling patients to avail cashless treatment facilities and reducing financial barriers to advanced eye care.
With this expansion, ASG Eye Hospital now operates two super speciality eye hospitals and six vision centres across Goa, supported by a team of more than 12 eye specialists serving patients
across the state. The Margao centre offers specialised care across multiple ophthalmic subspecialties, including Retina, Cornea, Cataract, Paediatric Ophthalmology, Squint, Glaucoma, Oculoplasty, and Refractive Services.
The centre is supported by a distinguished team of specialists including Dr. Pawan V. Garde, VitreoRetina Specialist; Dr. Marushka Aguiar, Paediatric Ophthalmologist and Squint Specialist; Dr. Sean Socrates DaSilva, Cornea and Anterior Segment Specialist; and Dr. Akshaya Nagvenkar, Cornea and Anterior Segment Specialist, among others.
The inauguration marks another significant milestone in ASG Eye Hospital’s journey of expanding access to quality eye care across India. With its growing presence in Goa, the institution remains committed to providing advanced treatments, expert medical care, and the latest ophthalmic technologies, ensuring that every individual, regardless of geography or socioeconomic status, has access to world-class eye care services.
