Karan Dhavaskar, Ayaan Shaikh, Anish Kamath and Umakant Sarge stormed into the men’s singles semi-finals, at the state badminton ranking tournament organised by BPS Sports Club under the aegis of Goa Badminton Association and Sports Authority of Goa, at Manohar Parrikar Indoor stadium, Navelim.
Anjana Kumari, Pratishtha Shenoy, Aarohi Coutoncar and Janhavi Mahale are the four semi-finalists in the women’s singles category.
In U19 boys singles semi-finals, Anish Kamath, Nishant Shenai, Anuj Vernekar and Devesh Goel have sealed their last-four places.
In the Under-11 boys singles category, Ateendra Gaonkar, Vishwa Parab, Michael Mare, Aaryan Karpe, Devarsh Kotkar, Neil Punjani Bakshi, Mohammad Umar and Vedh Lotlikar have moved into the last-eight stage.
In girls singles Under-11 event, Avni Khyalia, Asbah Tahsildar, Fiona Mare, Niharika Parwar, Pragya Audi, Amaira Dhumatker, Astha Poudel and Palak Ramnathkar complete the quarter-finals line-up.
