The Directorate of Food and Drugs will organise ‘Eat Right Mela’ Healthy and Nutritious Food Festival on 5th April 2024 at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao. The event aims to promote healthy eating habits.
Director of FDA, Jyoti S. Sardesai flagged off a promotional vehicle at the Directorate of Food and Drugs Administration, South Goa branch, Old Collectorate Building, Margao, on Tuesday.
As lifestyle disorders attributed to unhealthy eating, stress and lack of exercise; have increased, it is important to rewind and rewire the habits to lay impetus to promote a healthy lifestyle.
At the ‘ Eat Right Mela’ , FDA has engaged nutritionists who will be available to speak to the citizens; Goa’s top chefs will be at work and will display a sumptuous spread of healthy recipes and food products which will be available for sale. The Mela will have around 20 specially curated foods stalls accompanied with live music from Goa’s renowned band and a cultural programme. A competition is also being organised for professional chefs. FDA has invited people to experience a journey of healthy eating without compromise on taste. The programme will commence at 5 pm.
