A colourful display of cultural performances was held at the New Durbar hall at the Raj Bhavan in the presence of Governor, P Ashok Gajapathi Raju, marking the celebrations on the eve of the Foundation Day of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand and Jharkhand and the foundation day of the formation of the following States and Union Territories- Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Island, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Puducherry, Punjab and Tamil Nadu.
The foundation Day of States and UTs is celebrated under the concept of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ all over the country aiming to enhance interaction and mutual understanding between people of different states/UTs.
Pesent were Director of Directorate of Art and Culture, Vivek Naik; members and heads and representatives of various regional associations and sangams.
