The campaign’s main objective is to spread awareness about various government schemes and initiatives. By promoting awareness, we intend to motivate citizens to take advantage of all of the benefits offered by these programs. We envision a collaborative approach in which we can contribute significantly to our country’s overall growth and development as a whole. Through these various schemes, individuals can take ownership of their sustainability and even start their businesses.”
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, launched the Viksit Bharat campaign from the Secretariat in Porvorim on November 15, 2023. The Tribal Ministry, Agriculture Ministry, and Information and Publicity Ministry all worked together to supply the State of Goa with three vans: two rural vans for the North Goa District and one tribal van for the South Goa District.
Every day, including Saturday, Sunday, and holidays, these Vans visit each Gram Panchayat in Goa, covering 04 Village Panchayats per day in North Goa District and 02 Village Panchayats in South Goa District.
Various departments, including Women and Child Development, RDA, Agriculture, Tribal, Health, Revenue, Education, Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, Cooperation, and Petroleum and Natural Gas, have delegated officers to Village Panchayats with application forms. These forms are provided to villagers, and completed forms are collected to ensure the reach and accessibility of government programs. The Health Department plays an important role by organizing health camps in each Gram Panchayat. Beneficiaries also share their stories through “Meri Kaahani Meri Jubani,” emphasising the real impact of government programmes.
