Transition of Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA) from a society to a company, is one of the main decisions taken at the review meeting chaired by Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant.
The meeting reviewed key initiatives related to renewable energy in Goa in the presence of Secretaries, Senior officials from Finance, Home, GPCB, and GAD, at Porvorim.
The Chief Minister, digitally launched Goem Jaivindhan E-Bazar, a Bio Fuel Marketplace, on the occasion. The Goem Jaivindhan E-Bazar powered by BioFuelCircle shall connect farmers and local plantations with Industrial End Users of Bio Fuel. It shall work in the field of Fuel from Biomass Waste, Local Pallets. (geda.biofuelcircle.com/account/login).

•Formation of GEDA as a Company – Transition of GEDA from a Society to a Company for more efficient operations.
•Recruitment Drive – Approval to recruit an MD and essential staff to strengthen GEDA’s capacity.
•Renewable Energy Expansion – Focused strategy to boost solar, biogas, and water heating projects across the state.
•PM Suryaghar Yojana – Emphasis on ensuring safety and reliable AMC for consumers under this flagship rooftop solar scheme.
•EV Charging Infrastructure – Model approved: 50% cost by Govt, 50% by charging station developers.
•Solar Street Lights – Expansion in rural and urban areas to promote clean energy and safety.
•Subsidies for Green Energy – Enhanced support for biogas units, solar water heaters, and solar installations in govt buildings.
