FREE DRUG TO BOOST BREAST CANCER TREATMENT FOR PATIENTS IN GOA

The introduction of Pertuzumab-Trastuzumab combination, the latest monoclonal antibody specific for HER 2 + breast cancer; will bring in a new era of hope and healing for women all across the country, emphasised Health Minister Vishwajit Rane.

Sharing the boost in breast cancer treatment, Rane announced that Directorate of Health Services Goa will make Pertuzumab-Trastuzumab combination available free of cost for patients in Goa. “It has the potential for complete cure when administered in the early stages of breast cancer,” posted Rane on his social media.

“We are committed to the well-being and security of women in our society through state-of-the-art healthcare facilities…As a first in India, this state-of-the-art monoclonal antibody reflects our unwavering commitment to deliver top-notch healthcare in Goa,” he added.
