PANAJI: Stessi Cardozo played a key role as FC Goa scored a resounding 8-0 win over Compassion FC in the Goa Football Association Vedanta Women’s League at Rosary ground, Navelim, on Saturday.
Stessi scored a fine hat-trick completing her treble within 11 minutes. She scored in the 21st, 29th and 31st minutes. Kimberly Fernandez, Aqsa Sayed, Gail Fernandes scored a goal each while Remediana Noronha netted a brace late into the game.
Stessi of FC Goa was named the player of the match and Sumitra Fernandes, former International player presented the award.
