PANAJI: Entertainment Society of Goa’s Cinephile Film Club will screen ’12 Angry Men’ on 17th February (Thursday), at Maquinez Palace, Old GMC Complex, here at 6.30 pm. Sachin Chatte will host the screening of the 1957 classic.

Considered as one of the greatest films ever made (it stands at No.5 in the top 200 films of all time, on IMDb), 12 Angry Men (duration: 96 minutes) remains a timeless classic directed by the legendary Sidney Lumet. The simple yet utterly gripping story is about a bunch of jurors who meet to decide the fate of the man. While most of them have already made up their mind, one of them has a different view.

With some powerful acting by stalwarts of that era, it is led by a remarkable performance by Henry Fonda. The film was remade in Hindi as Ek Ruka Hua Faisla (1986) by Basu Chatterjee.

The membership for the film club is now open, you can visit esg.co.in and register online. The membership is valid from the present day, till March 2023, states a press release.
