If corporates support Goa state champions from various sports disciplines, the results could improve at the national level. Especially in the field of athletics, where Goa has not been consistent in making a mark. However, the picture can change as encouragement has started to come in the year where Goa is looking like finally hosting the National Games.
At the recent State Athletics Championships, Anantha Krishnan Pillai won two gold and one silver medal in the 4×100 relay, long jump and 100M events, respectively. Vedanta Sesa Goa felicitated him on his outstanding achievement and encouraged him to aim higher while assuring him of Company’s continued support in his sporting journey, states a press release.
