Goa’s Ashwini Churi won a bronze medal in Artistic Solo event at the Federation Cup Yoga Sports Championship.
Ashwini’s success is another feather in the cap for the tireless efforts of Goa Yoga Association. While Ashwini secured the third place in Artistic Solo Senior Girls’ category, following Goan players finished fourth:
•Sourabh Gorai – 4th place in Artistic Solo (Senior Boys )
•Ashish Pal – 4th place in Artistic Solo (Senior Boys)
•Divij Bait – 4th Place in Artistic Solo (Junior Boys)
• Ashish Pal & Sourabh Gorai – 4th place in Artistic Pair (Senior Boys).
The team was coached by Damodar Govenkar, a senior national Yoga player from Vasco.
With the medal-winning effort by the Goan team at the Federation Cup (Online) Yoga Sports Championship organised by the Yoga Federation of India on June 16, Goa Yoga Association has kept up the consistency. In the past, the GYA-deputed team had clinched a bronze medal in the 48th Junior and Sub-Junior Nationals in November 2023. That was followed by a bronze medal in the 48th Senior Nationals in Kolkata in March 2024.
