Sporting Clube de Goa resume their I-League 2 campaign this Saturday as they host GMSC at Atal Stadium, Bambolim. The fixture follows a landmark week for the club, which secured its third consecutive Goa Professional League (GPL) title on Monday.

The Flaming Oranje currently sit on seven points from five matches in the national second division. After a narrow 2-1 away loss to Delhi FC in their previous outing, the team will return to home turf aiming to improve their position in a competitive league table.

Assistant Coach Savio Vaz emphasized the importance of transitioning focus back to the national circuit. “While we are pleased with our recent success, our primary focus remains our I-League 2 campaign,” Vaz stated. “We are taking it one match at a time to ensure we are fully prepared for the challenge GMSC brings this weekend.”

The visitors arrive in Goa currently anchored to the foot of the table with four points from six matches. GMSC will be looking to disrupt the hosts’ momentum, while Sporting aims to maintain the defensive solidity that has defined their recent home performances. The Kick-off is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
