INDIA TOP YOUTH & CADET WORLD ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIP IN IRELAND

India topped the Youth and Cadet World Archery Championship in Ireland, winning 11 medals that also included six gold medals. One silver and four bronze medals, completed a whopping final tally for the Indian youngsters.

In the Compound Individual Finals, Priyansh defeated Slovenian archer Aljaz 147-141 to win the gold medal and become the Junior World Champion.

Aditi Gopichand Swamy, world record holder in the under-18 segment, went on to defeat USA archer Leann 142-136 and become the Cadet World Champion.

In Junior Recurve Individual Finals, Parth Salunkhe defeated Korean archer, while Bhajan Kaur clinched a bronze medal defeating Chinese Taipei archer 7-1.

In the Compound Team Finals – Parneet Kaur, Avneet Kaur and Pragati defeated a team of Mexico 222-213 in rainy conditions to emerge Junior World Team Champions.

The Indian Compound Cadet Girls Team of Aditi Gopichand Swamy, Aishwarya Sharma and Ekta Rani defeated USA under strong windy conditions to bag the Cadet World Team title.

Priyansh and Avneet Kaur won the gold medal in the Mixed Compound Team event. They won against Isreal, scoring 146-144 to become the Junior World Champion.

The Indian Compound Cadet Boys Team of Pawan, Manv and Ganesh had to be content with the silver medal as they went down narrowly to Mexico 215-216 in windy conditions.

The Recurve Cadet Team event saw Indian boys – Agastya , Goldi Mishra and Ujjwal Dhama, trounce Columbia 6-0 in strong windy conditions, shooting the arrows superbly to annexe a bronze medal.

Manav Jadhav and Aishwarya Sharma added a bronze medal to the tally as they got the better of Mexico In Cadet Mixed Compound event.

Over in the Recurve Junior Mixed Team event, Parth and Ridhi bagged a bronze medal against China 6-2.
