On the 27th of February 2024, citizens of Panaji gathered at the Rotary Club function held at Caculo Mall, St Inez; to witness an important presentation shedding light on the remarkable strides made in the development of the Smart City initiative. The distinguished speaker for the evening was Sanjit Rodrigues, the Managing Director and CEO of Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Limited (IPSCDL).
In this engaging session, attendees were treated to a comprehensive overview of the ongoing and upcoming Smart City projects that are shaping the future of Panaji. Rodrigues illustrated how innovation is transforming Panaji, making it not just a city but a Smart City. From intelligent public transport to cutting-edge crime detection technologies, the presentation showcased the city’s commitment to embracing the latest advancements.

The role of technology in Panaji’s Smart City narrative was emphasised, with initiatives such as the Intelligent City Command and Control Center (ICCC), biogas projects, and smart classes contributing to a smarter, sustainable future.
