V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar-Goa, will conduct the 8th edition of Lex Infinitum 2023 -an International Dispute Resolution Competition – to be held in collaboration with AIDR (Association for International Dispute Resolution) from 23rd to 25th February, 2023, in the physical mode.
Lex Infinitum provides opportunities to law students from all over the world to showcase their Mediation and Negotiation skills. This edition of the event will witness participation from 20 Negotiating Teams and 10 Mediators from 20 top Law Colleges, out of which 2 are international teams and 18 national law schools. Trophies and awards will be up for grabs, states a press release.
Feedback will be provided to the participants from top Mediation and Negotiation professionals and also opportunities in the form of Mediation and Negotiation training through an Interactive Certification Course via Knowledge Sessions, which will be held on 23rd and 24th February, 2023.
Lex will also witness Mediation Musings –“Online ADR- The Future of Mediation”, on 22nd February 2023 from 6 pm – 7 pm (IST) at The International Centre Goa. The discussion is open to all and all are invited to join the same.
Over the past editions, the competition has witnessed participation from international teams hailing from across the world such as Singapore, England, USA, Sri Lanka, Russia, Belgium, and many more, along with multiple teams from across India as well.
Lex Infinitum aims at promoting the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in India as well as abroad which can be accomplished by enhancing the popularity of ADR techniques among law students and aspiring lawyers. Most importantly, students will have the opportunity to interact with the experts in the field of Mediation and will experience the thrill of competing with the brightest minds of the generation.
A day prior to the competition will be reserved for an Interactive Workshop-cum-Seminar, which will be held for the participating teams (inclusive of coaches), and conducted by expert ADR practitioners from all over the country and abroad.
