PANAJI: Ajinkya Chess Academy in association with A-R Tuition Classes, organised a chess coaching camp at Government Primary School Tambdi-Curti (Kelbai-Curti) recently. The initiative is a part of ‘Mission Curti – Chess in Every House’, and is supported by Ponda Taluka Chess Association.
Ten children from the school participated in this ‘basic chess’ coaching camp, which culminated in a tournament on the last day. Mohit Gaude, Ishika Kurtikar and Falguni Gaude secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd place respectively in the tournament.
The participants were presented certificates and prizes at the hands of Ponda Taluka Chess Association secretary Amogh Namshiker, Govt Primary School Headmistress Sukanti Dessai, Ajinkya Chess Academy incharge Ravindra Kurtikar, A-R Tuition Classes incharge Anand Kurtikar and Chess coach Milind Gaude. Govt Primary School teachers Medha Dessai and Leena Pauskar were also present during the function.
