PANAJI: Khorlim XI scored a crushing 10-wicket victory over Al Fatah Cricket Club to enter the final of Panjim Gymkhana’s Bandodkar Trophy cricket tournament at PG ground, Campal here today.
Khorlim XI won the toss and elected to bowl, and they decimated Al Fatah in no time. Amit Yadav was the wrecker-in-chief as the former Goa Ranji Trophy player came up with a marvellous haul of 6 wickets for just 13 runs.
Al Fatah were shot out for 74 runs in 23.5 overs. Pradeep Dabolkar with 25 runs and Prasad Sutar 17 runs, were the notable run-getters. Yogesh Khothankar (2/19), Narasima Reddy (1/12) and Saheel Dhuri (1/25) were the other wicket-takers for Khorlim XI.
In reply, Khorlim XI raced to 77 runs in 8.1 overs without loss of any wicket. Amit Yadav also delivered with the bat with an unbeaten 41 runs while Soham Panvelkar remained not out on 29 runs as Khorlim XI stormed into the final.
