Manas Mavericks beat Dempo Challengers in a nail-biting Super-Over finish at the ongoing PGML 2.0 at Panjim Gymkhana on Sunday. In another match, Priority Titans defeated defending champions Prescon Panthers to make it three wins on the trot.
Manas Mavericks managed to score 12 runs for the loss of a wicket in the Super Over, while Dempo Challengers could only muster nine runs. Earlier, Dempo Challengers put up a respectable score of 138 for six wickets.
In the earlier match, Vedant Naik was the top scorer for the Priority Titans scoring 40 runs in 31 balls, helping his team score 128 runs for nine wickets. Prescon Panthers could manage to put only 120 runs on the board for the loss of nine wickets.
Meanwhile on Saturday, a quickfire 38 in 25 balls by Abhijit Bhandare saw defending champions Prescon Panthers get the better of Baale Tigers by four wickets.
Later in the day, RC Goa bowled out Manas Mavericks in 20 overs for 139 runs. However in reply, RC Goa managed a total of 123 on the scoreboard before they were bowled out 16.5 overs.
PGML 2.0 commenced last weekend and here are the results from the opening round: Prescon Panthers beat debutants RC Goa, fellow-debutants Priority Titans downed Dempo Challengers, Priority Titans defeated Manas Mavericks, Dempo Challengers brushed off the challenge from Baale Tigers.
