Atal Gram Development Agency has provided a huge boost to strawberry cultivation and villagers in Verlem, Netravali; are living a happy tale of prosperity!
Cultivating strawberries and vegetables to be financially empowered, these villagers thank the Government of Goa for the ‘Swayampurna Goa Abhiyan’ under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant.
Atal Gram Development Agency in collaboration with Swayampurna Mitras, revealed that 33,000 saplings were sourced from Mahabaleshwar and hands-on training provided to farmers, 40-50 households in the village.
The villagers have achieved self-sufficiency, reaping the benefits of government initiatives. As such, the grassroots development endeavour of the state government is getting the desired outcome of self-reliance and community empowerment, in turn propelling Goa’s march towards overall economic development.
