Chief Minister, Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated a two-day workshop on logistics at Mantralaya, Porvorim. The workshop was organised by the Directorate of Industries,Trade & Commerce (DITC).
The Chief Minister also launched the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) document for the implementation and utilisation of the PM Gati Shakti State Master Plan for Goa.
The workshop focussed on key initiatives including PM Gati Shakti, the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP), and the implementation of the Goa Logistics and Warehousing Policy 2023.
“The Govt of Goa has also formulated the Goa Logistics and Warehousing Policy, granting the logistics and warehousing sector industrial status. Goa is witnessing transformation in infrastructure development and tapping its potential. The PM Gati Shakti shall expedite the coordination and development in the state and this workshop will play a significant role towards laying a strong foundation for Goa’s logistics ecosystem,” emphasised Dr Sawant.
Director, Industries trade Commerce, Egna Cleetus, IAS, Secretary (Industries Trade & Commerce), Swetika Sachan, IAS, IGP Goa Omvir Singh Bishnoi, Dy Secretary, DPIIT, Govt.of India; Ravi Kiran and other officials from various departments attended the event.
