PANAJI: A three-day ‘Multimedia Exhibition on India’s Independence Movement’ organised by Central Bureau of Communication Goa, in association with Konkan Railway was inaugurated today by B B Nikam, Regional Railway Manager, Konkan Railway. Field Publicity Officer Riyas Babu and Deputy General Manager (Public Relations) of Konkan Railway Baban Ghatge were present on the occasion.
“Goa is a world famous tourist destination, and Madgaon is one of the busiest railway stations, where local as well as international tourists visit. So, this is an appropriate place for a multimedia exhibition on our freedom struggle. The exhibition helps the visitors to learn about ‘India’s Freedom Struggle’ and the valuable sacrifices of our brave revolutionaries,” said B B Nikam, while addressing the media after the inauguration.
As part of the exhibition, a three-day camp for free Covid-19 vaccination also has been organised in association with the Directorate of Health Services, Government of Goa. The camp is a part of Government of India’s 75-day Amrit Mahotsav Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign. On the first day, around 50 people received the vaccination at the camp which is open from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM. First, Second and Precautionary doses are administered at the camp.
The Central Bureau of Communication also distributed ‘Tiranga’ to those who received the vaccine as part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign launched by Government of India as part of the celebrations of the 75th anniversary of the country’s Independence.
A selfie-booth at the venue is also attracting people to take selfies with ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ theme. The exhibition is open for all on Platform Number 1 from 5 to 7, August, 2022. The Central Bureau of Communication has urged the public to visit the exhibition in large numbers.
