PANAJI: India’s first multi-brand omnichannel electric – vehicle (EV) store, BLive joined hands with leading retail pharmacy chain Wellness Forever, in a move to help them adopt sustainable mobility solutions and reduce their carbon footprint. The rising fuel costs, and pollution are challenges that are faced by many businesses, fueling Wellness Forever’s need to switch to electric vehicles. BLive offered a solution, and connected with EPick to provide a fleet of 20 electric bicycles to Wellness Forever, accelerating their switch to electric vehicles, states a press release.
BLive, with their expertise in EV, provided a cost-effective rental solution that will not only reduce Wellness Forever’s operating costs by close to 80%, but will also make the company one of the first medical chains to go green for their delivery operations. This significant step is in line with India’s pledge to reduce emissions to zero by 2070.
Wellness Forever is focused on ensuring the delivery of medical items within 60 minutes through their retail outlets in Goa, where home delivery has become an essential service. While it makes things convenient, its implications on the environment can be harsh. The retail pharmacy chain aims to challenge that by reducing its carbon footprint. This transition to e-bikes with low-cost maintenance and per-kilometer running costs, will not only benefit the company in creating a positive impact on the environment. Even with conservative estimates of 10 orders per day, this will have an impact on the lives of thousands of consumers while also contributing to the Government of India’s mission of reducing the country’s carbon footprint.
BLive plans to deploy a total of 250+ EVs for Wellness Forever nationally, to create a larger impact on the environment and encourage businesses to shift to green mobility. “Promoting sustainable mobility comes first in all our endeavours,” shares Sandeep Mukherjee COO, and co-founder at BLive.
