DSYA: DON BOSCO GIRLS WIN U-19 CHESS TOURNAMENT

Don Bosco Higher Secondary School, Panaji, won the Inter-HSS (U-19) Girls Chess Tournament organised by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs.

Sharada Mandir Higher Secondary School, Miramar, and S S Samiti’s Higher Secondary School, Kavalem-Ponda, finished second and third respectively.

Don Bosco scored 9 points while Sharada Mandir collected 7 points. SS Samiti’s HSS had a tally of 6 points.

Don Bosco HSS team comprised of Shah Samiya, Ashmi Hadfadkar, Eshita Joshi, Auoroni Arpita and Sineen Badekhan.

Sharada Mandir HSS team was made up of Sachi Tamba, Lania Quadros, Josleen Vaz, Amee Mascarenhas and Siya Mascarenhas.

S S Samiti’s HSS team was represented by Veda Narvekar, Shubra Sawant, Sadhale Mahi, and Yukta Dessai.

The tournament was conducted under the assistance of DSYA’s Sanjay Shirodkar, Tournament Director. IA Arvind Mhamal was the Chief Arbiter, FA Daattaram Pinge was Dy-Chief Arbiter, while NA Sudhakar Patgar was the Arbiter.
