Entertainment Society of Goa’s Cinephile Film Club will screen ‘Second Chance’ (104 minutes, Hindi, English, and Kullavi) directed by Subhadra Mahajan, who will be present for the screening; on Thursday, 16th October at 6:30 pm, at Maquinez Palace, Panaji.
After its premiere at the prestigious Karlovy Vary festival, the film travelled around the world to several festivals, including Busan, Hamburg, Sao Paulo, Adelaide, Belfast; among others. Beautifully shot in black and white, the story revolves around Nia (Dheera Johnson), who, after experiencing her first major trauma in life, retreats to her family’s summer home in the Himalayas, where time, nature, and unlikely friendships help her heal.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Subhadra Mahajan and production designer Namra Parikh.
