PANAJI: Keona Rajani and Pearl Colvalcar will represent Goa at Senior National Sailing Championship to be held from November 22 to 27 in Mumbai.
According to a press release from Goa Yachting Association (GYA), Keona will compete in RS:X while Pearl will be in action in Laser Radial category.
This competition will be the first event for senior sailors in India after the lockdown of March 2020.
Keona (17) will be the youngest competitor in the RS:X category and Pearl (14) youngest in the Laser Radial Women class if not the youngest sailor in the entire competition.
According to GYA, both Keona and Pearl have trained hard and will compete against the best in the country in their respective categories despite GYA having no Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) coach for the last four years.
