MAKE-A-WISH FOUNDATION: GOA CANCER SOCIETY COMMITS FINANCIAL SUPPORT; GIFTS CYCLES, LAPTOPS & MOBILES

PANAJI: Goa Cancer Society (GCS) has committed Rs 1 lakh annually to Make-a-Wish Foundation, an Indian non-profit organisation that has fulfilled 67,389 wishes in 24 years.

On Wednesday, GCS gifted five bicycles, three  laptops and mobile phones as per the wishes of cancer-stricken 10 children.

GCS vice-president Dr Suresh Shetye,  Dr Mahesh Naik, secretary, Dr Shekhar Salkar, joint-secretary  and  Dr Sitakant Ghanekar, member, were present on the occasion

“It was a very satisfying experience to see smiles on the faces of these children and their parents!,” says Dr Salkar in the press release.

Make-a-Wish Foundation is dedicated to granting the most cherished wish of terminally ill children between  3 to 18 age-group.
