Goa will celebrate ‘State Consumer Rights Day’ under the flagship of Swayampurna Goa 2.0 on 25th June. Department of Legal Metrology in collaboration with the District Rural Development Agency, Directorate of Planning and Statistics, and Directorate of Food & Drugs Administration will organise a day-long programme at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhalim.
A Packers Registration-cum-FSSAI licence camp for Self-Help Groups (SHG), will be held from 9 am to 3 pm. This initiative is aimed at providing the knowledge of legal aspects, packaging, hygiene and recognition for the people (SHGs) who want to sell their products.
The organisers addressed a press conference today. Arun N. Panchwadkar, Controller of Legal Metrology; Vijay B. Saxena, Director of Planning & Statistics; Gopal A. Parsekar, Director of the Department of Rural Development; Deepali D. Naik, Project Director at the DRDA, South Goa; Richard Noronha, Designated Officer at the Directorate of Food & Drugs Administration were present.
