PANAJI: Tri Goa will kick-off the 2021-22 Brevet de Randonneur Mondiaux (BRM), endurance cycling season on Sunday, November 14 with a 200km cycle ride; states a press release.
Announcing this in a media release, Rajesh Malhotra, founder, Tri Goa said, “Sunday, 14th November 2021 is World Diabetes Day and Tri Goa is organising a 200 km BRM cycle ride to create awareness about following a healthy lifestyle to keep diabetes away.”
According to Malhotra, the 200km cycle ride will start at Margao and is part of the 2021-22 Super Randonneur series consisting of long distance self-sufficient endurance rides of 200, 300, 400 and 600kms to be completed within 13.5 hrs, 20 hrs, 27 hrs and 40 hrs respectively in one calendar year to earn the lifelong title of “Super Randonneur” which is recognised worldwide.
Tri Goa is affiliated to Audax Club Paris (ACP) and Audax India Randonneurs (AIR) and finishers of each BRM cycle ride will receive an exclusive medal from ACP, France.
Tri Goa will also be conducting a 50km cycle ride to help new riders understand the Audax format. BRMs are unsupported rides wherein participants have to navigate the route and reach pre-designated control points within specific time limits to qualify.
