Entertainment Society of Goa’s Cinephile Film Club will screen ‘And, Towards Happy Alleys’ (75 minutes) directed by Sreemoyee Singh, on Thursday (25th July) at Maquinez Palace, Panaji at 6.30 pm. The director will attend an interactive session after the screening.
After the film premiered at the prestigious Berlinale, the documentary film has traveled to several festivals around the globe and won many accolades, including the FIPRESCI critics award at the recently concluded MIFF (Mumbai International Film Festival).
This love letter to Iranian poetry and cinema was made over a period of six years during the director’s visit to Iran and features interviews with stalwarts like Jafar Panahi and activist Nasrin Sotudeh.
