BCCI RANJI TROPHY 2020-21 SEASON TO BEGIN IN JANUARY, GOA IN ELITE GROUP ‘D’ FOR BIO-BUBBLE T20 COMPETITION IN INDORE

Goa players have been playing practice matches at Goa Cricket Association academy ground at Porvorim where the pre-season camp has been in progress since early November.

PANAJI: Goa will take on hosts Madhya Pradesh on January 10, 2021 in their opening match of Ranji Trophy 2020-21 season T20 competition where the ‘Elite Group D’ will be placed in a bio-secure bubble in Indore. The other teams in the group are: Services, Saurashtra, Vidarbha and Rajasthan.  Goa, coached by former India bowler Dodda Ganesh, will take on Services on January 12, Saurashtra (January 15), Rajasthan (January 16) and Vidarbha on January 18. Goa team will leave from here on January 2.

Meanwhile, Elite Group A will play in Bengaluru, Elite Group B in Kolkata, Elite Group C in Vadodara, Elite Group E in Mumbai while the Plate group is based in Chennai.

Elite Group A (TEAMS): Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Railways, Tripura

Elite Group B: Odisha, Bengal, Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Hyderabad

Elite Group C: Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Baroda, Uttarakhand

Elite Group E: Haryana, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Mumbai, Kerala, Puducherry

Plate Group: Chandigarh, Meghalaya, Bihar, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh
