PANAJI: This is a story of passion! Their love for volleyball being very intense; Sawreshwar Volleyball Club from Mardol, lit up the entire court with ‘pantis’ (lamps) on the Diwali night. This time of the year is usually full of volleyball tournaments across the state with decent crowd turnout especially in the rural areas. However, the pandemic-forced restrictions have not yet allowed competitions to be held. As such, the volleyball lovers at Sawreshwar miss the game a lot and they came up with this idea to create a festive atmosphere to mark the ‘festival of lights’!
