NAVY WINDSURFING CHAMPIONSHIPS: DAYNE COELHO FIGHTS BACK AS GOANS DOMINATE ON OPENING DAY

PANAJI: Goan sailors put up good performance in their respective categories at the Open Navy Windsurfing Championships 2021, which started at Chicalim-Goa today. 

In the national ranking event, Dayne Coelho took 2 guns from 3 races on Day 1 in RS:X Olympic category, to lead a strong fightback after recovering from an injury.

Keona Rajani won the first two races in the RS:One Asian Games category and came second in the 3rd race of the day.

In the Techno 293 OD which is the Youth Olympics category, Avelino Fernandes took the gun in the first two races and finished 2nd in last race of the day.

The versatile Pearl Colvalkar is close behind with two second places and one first place. In the Race Board Youth Category,  Adarsh Chunekar took the gun in all 3 races of the day.
